Pinterest is great, but if you’re not using it effectively, you’re not going to achieve the results that you’re wanting.
The key to good results is an effective workflow, and I have found one that works perfectly for myself and my clients… and I’m going to share it with you!
I like to batch my tasks, however, you can change this workflow to suit your timeline.
Week One
In week one I go in and create an analytics report to help drive future content, know what’s popular and see what’s being clicked on.
Then, from the analytics report I choose the three to five most clicked pins (of their own content) and create alternative pin images for them.
After this, I do some manual pinning. This looks like pinning to group boards, adding in the alternative images to group boards etc.
Week Two
In week two, I place all of their new content into Tailwind drafts. It’s important to ensure that every pin has a key word friendly title and description. Your description should include:
-
Location (if relevant)
-
What the pin is about
-
Key words
-
Business name
-
4-5 relevant hashtags
Then, I hit save (don’t publish yet!)
After you hit save, you can add these new pins into Tailwind tribes and do some more manual pinning.
Week Three
In week three I schedule out all of the new content in the Tailwind drafts from week two. I like to follow this structure when sharing to boards:
-
Personal Board
-
Relevant Boards
-
Group Boards
-
Add to tribes again
I also use the interval timer to schedule for the month ahead with one day in between each pin.
Week Four
In the final week I complete growth tasks. This changes from month to month based on how they performed that month. Sometimes I might add my clients to more group boards, share their pins to more group boards, following more niche pinners, manual pinning, adding boards, changing board description etc. Basically anything that can help their account grow.
And lastly, I go in and schedule out content for the month ahead from other high performing pinners from their niche.
Pin for later
