On today’s episode of the Taking Action podcast I’m chatting with the owner of Wild Home Podcasting, Caroline
Caroline is a podcasting expert and owner of Wild Home Podcasting, a boutique podcast editing and production agency, and a homeschool mom who helps at-home podcasters launch their voices into the world. She discovered her intense love for podcasts after launching her own podcast with her biz bestie and in the process, finding her own confidence and voice. Caroline believes that everyone has a unique perspective and story worth sharing. She has a passion for helping others do this through their podcasts. Caroline has been featured in podcasts such as Generation.Mom, Proof to Product, Positively Creative, How to Fail, Day in the Life and Creative Biz Rebellion. She also shares podcasting tips and a peek into her wild life on her podcast, the Wild Home Podcast.
Let’s dig into the highlights:
Caroline is the owner of Wild Home Podcasting, a boutique podcast editing business. A stationary designer for over four years, Caroline and a friend one day decided to start a podcast around their craft. It didn’t take long for Caroline to fall in love with the back end of the process. It just so happened that, at this time, her stationary business was failing, and so it was that after a couple of podcast editing gigs, Caroline decided to go full-time into this newfound passion. Today, she and a team of five contractors work with over 30 clients.
A mother to a homeschooled daughter, Caroline makes it a point to separate her work from her duty as a parent and educator to her child. Aside from finding a rhythm to make this dynamic work, she also forced herself to become a morning person and outsource help—starting with a virtual assistant—in order to decompress her schedule. Both of these decisions allowed Caroline to put her all into her tasks day by day while avoiding burnout.
Caroline believes that there’s no better time to start a podcast than today, amid the COVID-19 pandemic. This is a crisis that has confined people to their homes for the majority of each day. It has also forced businesses and almost every other organized community around the world to make use of solely digital solutions to connect and do work.
With this context laid out, podcasting is the perfect tool that anyone can use to build their brand and grow their audience in the new normal, right from the comfort of their own home. It’s also a medium that’s practically still in its infancy, with an incredible amount of room left to grow. Podcasts are what Caroline refers to as a “magical networking tool”, allowing you to connect with thought leaders and industry experts from anywhere in the world. If you’ve got a business to grow or a message to share, why wouldn’t you want to go all-in on a podcast?
Listen in and learn how you can leverage the power of podcasting to thrive during and after this crisis. We would love to hear your thoughts and any questions you may have can go right here in the comments! Enjoy!
