Emily Osmond is an online marketing educator, top-ranking podcast host and speaker. She quit her job to go full time in her business when she was 26 years old, with a mortgage to pay and no plan B. After a wild ride on the entrepreneurial roller coaster, she now runs a global business from her living room, hosts a podcast that is listened to in more than 70 countries, coaches hundreds of entrepreneurs inside her online programs, and loves the work that she gets to call her ‘job’. Her mission is to help other women to create a business on their own terms that provides them with the income and lifestyle they desire. You can find her at emilyosmond.com, on Instagram at @emilyosmond and tune into her podcast by searching ‘The Emily Osmond Show’ on Apple iTunes and Spotify.
Emily Osmond is an international marketing coach, speaker, and podcaster. She also runs the global education program and community, The Modern Marketing Collective, where she coaches hundreds of entrepreneurs each month, specifically in Instagram marketing, marketing messaging, and online sales funnels.
Impostor syndrome was definitely one of Emily’s biggest hurdles when she first decided to become her own boss. At the time, she had no friends nor family members who owned their own businesses, which she believed was her worst disadvantage as an aspiring entrepreneur. Over time, she came to realize that “there is no secret society of people who know how to do business. There’s no rulebook. There’s no guidebook. Everyone is just figuring it out.” The exciting (and yes, scary) part of entrepreneurship is the fact that you get to decide how to solve a problem. The ones who have a higher chance of succeeding are the ones who embrace the risks and dive in with a determination to find a way, anyway.
Listen in and learn how Emily describes how she broke past her initial feelings of inadequacy when she went down her path as an entrepreneur, how she was able to pinpoint the offerings that she knew were right for her brand, the process that led to her overhauling her entire business to start a membership program, what she does on a week-to-week basis around branding and marketing her services, and her four content categories when posting on Instagram for business. We would love to hear your thoughts and any questions you may have can go right here in the comments! Enjoy!
