She has worked in nonprofit for much of her career and has accumulated over a decade of copywriting experience under her belt. At one point, she struck out on her own and started her own business in 2014, first solely in photography, but later on added copywriting services as well.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">Rachel\u2019s biggest mindset shift as a business owner has been to accept that&nbsp;<em>no one is the best at anything<\/em>. \u201cIf you look at other people in your space as someone to measure up to,\u201d she says, \u201cbeing a business owner starts to get a little scary.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">Social media has gamified everything, which adds to this tendency to compare yourself with other professionals in your field. But what helped Rachel to overcome this mental hurdle was to reframe how she saw her \u201ccompetition\u201d, regarding them instead as her&nbsp;<em>colleagues<\/em>, or even as her&nbsp;<em>friends<\/em>. Rachel freely refers prospects to these other photographers or copywriters if she believes that there is a better fit out there for them.
