{"id":145,"date":"2020-01-23T20:00:00","date_gmt":"2020-01-23T20:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lisabruton.com.au\/?p=145"},"modified":"2021-03-12T16:58:53","modified_gmt":"2021-03-12T16:58:53","slug":"pinterest-workflow","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lisabruton.com.au\/?p=145","title":{"rendered":"My monthly pinning workflow"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>   <iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/tQ66kJNs4fU?wmode=opaque&amp;enablejsapi=1\" height=\"480\" width=\"854\" scrolling=\"no\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"\"><br \/>\n<\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">Pinterest is great, but if you\u2019re not using it effectively, you\u2019re not going to achieve the results that you\u2019re wanting. <\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">The key to good results is an effective workflow, and I have found one that works perfectly for myself and my clients\u2026 and I\u2019m going to share it with you!<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">I like to batch my tasks, however, you can change this workflow to suit your timeline. <\/p>\n<h3 style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\"><strong>Week One<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">In week one I go in and create an analytics report to help drive future content, know what\u2019s popular and see what\u2019s being clicked on. <\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">Then, from the analytics report I choose the three to five most clicked pins (of their own content) and create alternative pin images for them. <\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">After this, I do some manual pinning. This looks like pinning to group boards, adding in the alternative images to group boards etc. <\/p>\n<h3 style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\"><strong>Week Two<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">In week two, I place all of their new content into Tailwind drafts. It\u2019s important to ensure that every pin has a key word friendly title and description. Your description should include:<\/p>\n<ul data-rte-list=\"default\">\n<li>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">Location (if relevant)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">What the pin is about<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">Key words<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">Business name<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">4-5 relevant hashtags <\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">Then, I hit save (don\u2019t publish yet!)<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">After you hit save, you can add these new pins into Tailwind tribes and do some more manual pinning. <\/p>\n<h3 style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\"><strong>Week Three<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">In week three I schedule out all of the new content in the Tailwind drafts from week two. I like to follow this structure when sharing to boards:<\/p>\n<ul data-rte-list=\"default\">\n<li>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">Personal Board<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">Relevant Boards<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">Group Boards<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">Add to tribes again<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">I also use the interval timer to schedule for the month ahead with one day in between each pin. <\/p>\n<h3 style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\"><strong>Week Four<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">In the final week I complete growth tasks. This changes from month to month based on how they performed that month.
